Well, the pigs out of the bag…
I’ve finally healed my heart and have had the opportunity to get a new piggie in my life.
I believe things happen for a reason and God knew what he was doing.
Everyone meet Dixie-Tilly. The newest addition to the Higgy house.
I couldn’t decide between two names.. so I put them together… She responds to both and comes when I call her now. It’s pretty cute.
She was born March 14th, and I know this time she wont get as big as Tank…LOL
In the four days I’ve had her we have done so much. She’s gone to petsmart.. Twice..
We went fishing in Sahuarita, she definitely seemed to enjoy it.. even tried to eat the fish
We went to a restaurant and got to meet the whole staff and she did so well with strangers holding her and giving kisses to kids.
Dixie has taken an interest in Willow and I believe she thinks she can get milk from her… but that won’t happen.
I am so excited for this new journey with Dixie-Tilly and I can’t wait to see what she’s like. In the couple of days that I’ve had her I can tell she’s a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle and has done very well in the public places. I can’t wait to teach her new things and see how she grows. I thank God everyday for the blessing I’m given and opportunities I have. Keep your fingers crossed and I’ll update through this blog just as I did for Tank. Back to the story of the traveling pig.. Part 2
We still have so so much work to do! But I couldn’t be happier.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and knows how much this means to me. I plan on continuing my dream and making Dixie a therapeutic animal that I know will help others.
We’re not replacing Tank, we won’t ever forget him. He will always have a huge piece of my heart, but now we stop dwelling and start living. Thank you Tank for everything you’ve taught me. I hope you’re cheering Dixie-Tilly on and stay by my side.
